The Shoden seminar (1st level)
Discover the healing power of Jikiden Reiki in a two-day event and receive an international certification, recognised by the only International Jikiden Reiki Association, in Kyoto. No previous experience is required.
The first-level seminar, called Shoden, is the first step on the path of learning Jikiden Reiki. It introduces the basics of the practice and gives the essential tools to understand and use this ancient natural healing technique.
What we will do during the seminar
– We will look briefly at the history of Reiki and its historical context in Japan. – We will learn to treat common physical problems, from the mildest (such as cuts and bruises) to the more serious or chronic (such as migraines and back pain). – We will work on the concepts of Byōsen and Shirushi, to get more benefit from treatments. – We will learn Kekko, a method to improve blood circulation and eliminate toxins. – You will receive Reiju, to practise Reiki therapy on yourself and on others.
How it works
The Shoden seminar runs over two days: an introduction to Jikiden Reiki (origins, philosophy, differences from modern variants), theory (vital energy, or Ki, and the Gokai, the Five Principles of Reiki), the attunements (Reiju), practice of the basic treatments on yourself and on others, and time for questions.

Will I receive a certificate?
Yes: at the end of the seminar you receive an official certificate of attendance, recognised by the Jikiden Reiki Kenkyukai organisation.

The Okuden seminar (2nd level)
It goes deeper into the Jikiden Reiki method, for those who have already completed the first level (Shoden). You learn advanced techniques for working with Reiki energy, explore new symbols and their use, and gain tools to apply Reiki even more effectively on yourself and on others.
